I kept meaning to ask jaredmorgs, since I got Vols. 2 & 3 of the Pinball Compendium for my birthday... have you ever met Michael Shalhoub (author of the books) or Alan Tate (his buddy who owns most of the machines he used for pictures), given they're both Gold Coast guys? Did the Gold Coast...
I almost put that one up. One of the closing tracks at the rock/metal night I went to most Wednesdays. They would also play this:
randomly, instead of the original, and I got pretty good at picking up the difference right from the intro.
Dr Who?
(This was, for real, a #1 hit in the UK. The guys who recorded the song had earlier that year published a book titled "How To Have A Number 1 Hit", or something like that; this was their proof of concept. The Timelords/KLF/Justified Ancients Of Mumu/JAMs are notorious in the UK music...
This is the first time I can remember that the "new table" Twitch stream hasn't been the day before release on (at least) Steam and Android.
As for the week's delay, it's only been 4 weeks since the last table and we've had 5-week gaps before, this is nothing unusual. Just with it being...
There are no unlicensed WMS DMDs out there (unless you count Pinball Circus, and that was never finished, or a couple of redemption/bat games).
Despite my love for and desperate longing for The Shadow or Corvette, more realistically we're looking at Rollergames or maybe Banzai Run. I'd prefer...
This was, I think a response to SPA's cameras on 4:3 devices, which were too zoomed in to the extent that on most tables the bottom of the flippers were cut off making the tables unplayable.
Therefore the response was to change the engine code to use the 4:3 table views (already set up for...
In no particular order...
* Swords Of Fury
* Game Show
* The Shadow
* Surf N Safari (YES THERE WILL BE A PREMIER/GOTTLIEB SORRY FOLKS!!)
* Pinball Magic
* Mystery Castle (intriguing-looking Alvin G., rare to find in good condition from what I've heard)
* Banzai Run
* Spirit Of '76 + Surf Champ...
...and some people do it better, and some people don't, and aside from the obvious legal issues with VP, quality and regularity of updates will vary from table to table, developer to developer, since these are all unpaid hobbyists doing it in their spare time. So if you want to experience some...
Updating old tables isn't trivial. The playfield textures are what they are: they don't have better resolution images. To get them, they'd need to strip the tables down, re-photograph everything, then update each table individually with the new assets. And still be working on the next 2-3...
Yep... physical table adjustments (slope, posts, etc), and maybe built-in custom cameras. Not sure about flippers; that may not be allowed since it's a deviation from the standard production versions of the table. I also feel that anyone who thinks BSD, Fish Tales, and Dr Who would be any...
Stargate and SFII - the only ones I've played. None of the others really interest me anyway. WCS in particular is far inferior to the officially-licensed WMS table.
Yeah... but JY you can pretty much play forever. 10 minutes is a good limit for JY because it's juuust enough time to get to Space.
