Whirlwind is much, much closer to JP's layout than LAH is. Obviously neither have the T-Rex. IMO, on LAH the location of the bumpers, the additional side scoops, the location and number of drop/standing targets and captive ball, crane, kicker, etc, all adds up to a very different feeling game...
It's also missing EBD. Does this mean the non-GearVR version of SPA might be launching soon?
Really excited for these tables but refuse to buy Star Trek for GearVR because of the terrible performance.
No problem! If Farsight isn't going to communicate what's going on then it's up to us fans to suss it out.
The easiest way to tell if a table has the new physics is to watch the flipper as you mash the button. If the flipper instantly snaps to the down position with every press, that's old...
My early experiences with DE tables weren't great. I honestly don't get the appeal of tables like Star Wars and JP. The games I listed though, and LAH, are really fun on a well-maintained table. They definitely have a kind of cheap look about them (although I think Rocky and Bullwinkle looks...
I really want NBA FB too. I've only played it in one session and the next time I was back to that joint it was gone. Such an inspired design.
I'm not saying every System 11 is great, but I would rather play any of them over any given Premiere.
Rollergames
Radical
Swords of Fury (it's possible...
Every table from Xenon and onward (Mid-Season 4) has 3.0 flipper physics on every platform. The Steam version received an update last August that updated the flipper physics on every table in TPA. We were told that older tables would be updated on other platforms, too, but so far only a few have...
I spent a little more time with Big Hurt. So, bugs aside, it's growing on me. I like some of those wireform combos. The central grand slam shot is fun because it's like World Cup Soccer and Monday Night Football had a baby. I definitely need more time...
I definitely rank it above R911 now...
Yesterday's Gorgar update added the new physics, unless they were already there and I didn't notice before. I don't play Gorgar much. A few of the older tables have them, like Medieval Madness.
I don't think they are really bothered about it, tbh.
Apparently, several tables were updated with the new build and Gorgar was one of them (HUD fix).
Unlike the other tables, which download the new versions per usual, attempting to start Gorgar will cause the app to crash. Every time. This is on iOS.
I was able to work around this issue by...
So now that EBD is out of the way, what do we absolutely need in TPA?
I know a lot of us want Rollergames.
For my money I'd be happy to never see another Gottleib Premiere again. System 11 needs more love.
I don't know yet, too early to say. It definitely has a better flow. It's better than TX Sector, certainly.
Has anyone here played Gottlieb Premier's Mario Andretti (or SF2)? I played that quite a bit at a local BBQ joint and this game has some similar features, such as choosing between...
It's absolutely Eight Ball Deluxe. That is a highly requested table, people constantly bringing it up on the forums for years (Ask Again Later...). Top of the line = Deluxe IMO.
Also, Sharkey's Shootout is a Stern table. Since the Stern Pinball Arcade is their new app I'm pretty sure all future...
Game is buggy. Camera doesn't pull back for plunger. Right arrow for entering initials doesn't seem to be working right. Upon starting a new game, the overlay for entering initials covered the screen and I wasn't able to do anything but force-close the app.
The plunger area is indeed black, you...
