It will be in Europe soon. We're still waiting on SCEE (Sony Computer Entertaintment Europe) to approve it. Microsoft approves games for worldwide, Nintendo and Sony have separate approvals for each region. Unfortunatly it always seems like Europe's region is slower to approve and more picky.
The problem with that is that when the table needs to be re-downloaded it's because the resources changed. If the executable and resources don't match up, it will cause issues.
For the Xbox 360 how the updates will work is your game will do a title update like any other game patch. This will...
For those who might not be on facebook. Here is the post.
We’ve received many requests to bring the Twilight Zone pinball table to the Pinball Arcade. This table was released by Midway under the Bally label and is unquestionably one of the greatest pinball tables of all time (in fact it’s...
I've done some tests. In 720 we use 4x MSAA, in 1080 we use 2x MSAA. I did screen captures of 720 with 4x, 2x and no AA then compared them to make sure it was actually working, and there is a difference.
If I scale a 720 screenshot up to 1080 and compare it with a 1080 screenshot, the 1080...
There are 2 lighting improvements. The first one fixes the blown out textures which make everything impossible to read. That is going to be in the next update.
A 2nd improvement will be in an update after that to have the Xbox 360 match the post processing technique of the PS3. I'm not sure...
We found it and fixed it on the consoles, but it looks like the change didn't make it to the phones before they were submitted. Should be fixed on the phones in the next patch.
We tried implementing a fix awhile ago that kept track of rollovers and and modified the score on the leaderboards. Problem is every once in awhile it would give a false positive. We've found a solution and it'll be in all the next updates.
The local high score table will still be rolled over...
The game room background is the same one from the other tables, might just be a video compression issue.
Still working on the flashers. We had trouble getting the 3 of them to look right cause they are so close together.
As for the HUD, the 1st party console makers require all "important"...
Ok to answer a few questions here. (If I didn't answer your question, I'm not allowed to comment on that yet)
I would like us to put the LCD Display on the cabinet itself. I would imagine at some point we'll do that. It's not really complicated just takes some time from the artists, and it's...
Yes, every time you quit it resets. Unfortunately it's hard to keep track of the state, it would make the save file huge after we added a lot of tables.
One thing that has changed since PHOF is the tables are more random now. The way we did it in PHOF was to reset to a known state every time you play the table, so all the randomness would be the same. Most likely in that verison she was the first princesses voice played.
In Pinball Arcade we...
It's part of the "patch" that will come out at the same time as the DLC. The change is actually in the rendering code for the DMD (which is why it's global to all tables), it really had nothing to do with Cirqus, other than that's the first table I had it working on, and the first table we've...
There are 6 colors. Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Yellow and Aqua, at least as far as we know.
I measured the Ringmaster when we put it in, to see how much I had to move it up, and we're pretty close I think. Also compared it using a pinball and the scale is good.
Default is with the HUD version...
