Oddly enough I never found Zen as easy as everybody else seems to think it is. ;) In TPA I can sometimes save a ball from the outlane with a nudge, whereas in Zen I feel a nudge never does a thing (except for a warning message).
Anyway, there are tables on which I don't mind the outlanes much...
I have no problems with the outlanes either. There are far greedier ones on other tables in this collection.
My only gripe is that the ball is moving so fast to the point that I lose track of it. But apart from that it's a fine table! At first I thought it was a bit of a rip off of MM, but now...
The balls on AFM move as if someone pressed the fast forward button on a DVD remote. Is it supposed to be this way? Because I find it barely playable.
Just had yet another good going game running short because of a bug. And it was one of those "camera stuck to some object on the table"-multiball bugs which seems to plague all of the releases so far.
Want to hear my suggestion, Farsight? Stop doing those wonky camera things altogether. That's...
Yeah, they suck. It's like they're always looking for an excuse to drain the ball or something.
What's most annoying though is the probes blocking the view. Often I feel like I could have saved the ball with a nudge... if it had been possible to see what went on in those corners. Have it...
It rarely hits its target, though. At least in my experience. If anything it causes the ball to drain, which is annoying. So I try do to anything to avoid activating it.
In my book it's a very stupid feature on a very good table and it's the one thing I would take out of it if I could.
But why bring it out in the state as it is now in the first place? I certainly could have lived with the old UI for a little while longer, there was no need for a rush.
I can't tell yet if the "ball through the flipper"-bug has been erased from the game because I only played a short session so far... however I already can tell that a new one has been added, and it's called "ball WITHIN the flipper". Instead of bouncing off it kind of wobbled inside it for a...
Yeah... but as it always is with these things, once you're *really* trying to go for a certain shot you just can't make it. Or the ball drains. ;)
Depends on if they're ever going to happen on the consoles. *g*
Medieval Madness
- Battle for the Kingdom. Almost got to start that mode once... but then my last ball drained.
Cirqus Voltaire
- Ringmaster Battle
- Voltaire's Multiple Jackpots
...and I can't really be bothered because I don't like that table anyway.
Monster Bash
- Mosh Super Jackpot. Never...
Yeah, by now I just lost any hope that we're ever going to get them.
So, well... it may very well be that for Sony it really takes that long to churn out codes (which I personally find a bit baffling, but hey). But it isn't the primary thing that annoys me so much about the whole affair. It's...
Well, from the very beginning people were asking for the pro mode, so Farsight offer it to keep them happy. I'm not too big on it myself and I only bought one so far (for the Scared Stiff-table), but I found at least the pro tips rather helpful, so the money wasn't fully wasted.
I do believe...
You know, one could argue that the company is in liquidation because the kickstarter failed to reach its goal. But what if if the liquidation was taking place no matter what?
It's probably for the best that the kickstarter didn't succeed. Who knows what would have happened to our money and...
I backed TZ and STTNG... and in case the same thing is happening with STTNG all over again I won't be backing another kickstarter. Actually I'm already very much on the fence.
Generally I feel like Jeff Strong playing Zen Pinball when it comes to this table, the balls just refuse to drain. But I just can't get seem to get this wizard goal. I always run short of three or four of those web slots... and it's really hard to time the spider right. Arghmrhgflth.
