I didn't see that but for me that is immaterial. If the goods advertised don't work they will need to give me a refund. I am an existing TPA user with all seasons and the main product works fine with my setup. If the 'add-on' cab mode ends up not running then it isn't fit for purpose, so a...
I am going to give it another month and if the slowdown issue isn't fixed I will ask for a refund. I think another month is generous enough. If Arcooda aren't prepared to do this, then Arcooda please post here and say so. If nothing is posted here we will take it that a refund will be...
Would be good to at least hear them publicly acknowledge gust334's page fault finding. Many of us have spent many hours trying things out and reporting findings when we have better things to do, trying to basically get something working that we have paid for, but when you don't hear anything...
Ah that explains why I couldn't find an option. That is quite a pity, as I managed to get some nice setting for EMs, but they don't fit at all with the remakes. Here's hoping they can offer table level adjustment in the future.
Shame Zaccaria deserves a lot more than that. Having just experienced it last night in a cabinet I can't recommend it enough. So many good things to say, the lighting rocks, being able to adjust the physics to get that heavy ball experience is awesome, the game modes make it competitive, and...
Thanks for the info. Good to know the BGs worked at some stage. I have to say this looks really good in a cab, and if Magic Pixel could just polish the last remaining things it would make it something special. Like I said above the pop bumpers also look flat whereas everything else look so...
I just updated my membership to include all tables, so am planning to get this up and running in a cabinet in the near future.
I am a bit out of touch with the latest developments but can see they had a stab at adding cabinet support.
When I did I quick test last week in a 2-screen desktop...
Best Steam Physics Settings?
I recently upgraded my Steam Zaccaria Pinball to have all the missing tables that weren't part of my original membership as I plan to get back into this since they have added cabinet mode some time back.
A couple of questions if anyone knows as I am away from...
Great that you did a test - So from that they are most likely to be soft page faults then. Looking forward to hear from Farsight on it.
Incidentally my PC is Windows 7 64-bit with 8GB RAM.
Maybe they are still recovering from the 4th July celebrations.... after hoisting a few pints (I guess the 'other side' also do it ;)).
Did you find a way to determine the number of soft vs hard page faults out of interest or can we not get that level of breakdown? I read that sometimes when a...
I reckon we will hear from Farsight on this soon, will probably take them a bit of time to see what's going on and do a fix. Pretty ineffecient how it is atm, so there is hope that improving the mem management will do the trick.
I am away from I'm home so cannot try, but did anyone disable the...
Interestingly the PF Delta column is the number of faults that are generated since the last update in the Task Manager. I think the default 'Normal' update interval is 1 second so for me it produced 35,000 pers second which is insane. Avast also didn't show faults for me in the task manager...
Nice find! I think you found the needle in the haystack. I just watched the Page Fault Delta in the task manager and it generates about 32k per second on my PC. Switch to the fast view and it's mostly zero. I just read page faults result in more disk activity, also the overhead of...
As a reminder I said earlier I disabled all Avast shields and got 60 FPS. Instead of that I also tried excluding the two TPA folders but I floated around 54 FPS with a jittery ball so it didn't work as well as disabling the shields.
I then tried disabling the Avast Behaviour shield only and...
FlippyFloppy / Farsight:
Some questions / thoughts.... :)
1. Isn't this pretty significant? For the slow views we have Two different anti-virus programs limiting 2 things... ie:The amount of CPU TPA utilises for it's process and the FPS (the latter being most likely a result of the CPU being...
Started running slow again! But needed to do another thing.
I started up the PC this morning to do some more testing. After doing an Alt-Tab I no longer was getting 60fps with the '3D' views. I was getting a quite high 51-55 fps but the game was again not playable due to a jittery ball. I...
