Hey guys - been away from the forum for a long time, so was interested to read about this.
For anyone worried about support for this, I cannot believe that Farsight/Arcooda would simply stop supporting it after the end of June. Although they can't sell the product anymore, they surely can...
Also using freezy's dmdext and NoExs mod you can also use a real DMD too.
Pro Pinball also can be used with 3 screens and/or a real DMD. They also provide a messaging interface to allow the game events to work with real pin hardware. One thing that a big let down of the final Pro Pinball...
I haven't been following TPA for a long time and didn't hear about this Arcooda cab, so will search around a bit. It starts making sense now though. I still think that any serious pinball sim should support cabs just like driving Sims support multi-screens and steering wheels (mostly used in...
On a similar note wasn't the cab support promised for TPA by Farsight for so many years abandoned due to licencing issues with Stern? If so why can't cab support be supported in TPA and not in this disastrous Stern version (at least for non-Stern tables).
This looks so good and even though it had terrible reviews I took the plunge.
It is so bad I requested a refund. The ball wouldn't even plunge. If I flip the view the overlayed plunger image doesn't disappear. It has a portrait view, so I rotated the screen in windows, and the playfield...
Same here - the BBC block IPs (for IPlayer, etc) however these apps obviously get around it legally somehow. I only discovered them in last week or so whilst looking for an alternative after I moved. In our old house we had Freesat, but can't reach the Satellite ias it's blocked by trees.
I have a tip for that in case you don't know - as you probably know there are apps and websties that let you watch UK channels online but it is a pain being tied to a computer or tablet.
If you have a Sansumg TV with SmartHub built-in there is a free pp called Zatto, that you just watch the UK...
If you want to see something great on a cabinet I would go for Pro Pinball Ultra which just got an official Steam release. It supports cabinet 2 and 3 screen with a real DMD support!
Video (not cab footage but it shows off the awesome lighting):

Just setup as well - real DMD looks great particularly video mode.
mpad - thanks for info. I will try your settings. I have tried so many combos now I have lost track what I have done. Your view shows instruction cards and not too much stretching. Did you also set the cab mode option on as...
Great to hear. I am glad all those comments I made years ago defending them ended up being worthwhile. They clearly weren't conmen as some suggested. Just perfectionists and a bit slow. Hope they use all the foundations they have developed to add the other tables.
Just want to see now a...
Shoulder and arm pain is mostly caused by cervical disc problems and is often made worse by looking down - ie: disc prolapse or oesteophytes apply pressure on the nerve roots. That explains why you get it using a tablet and not a PC where I suspect you have the monitor at eye level. I am...
Same for me. The good news is they said they would allow the new physics to be switchable so for oldies like us we can keep the 'Timeshock' physics.
At some point they also mentioned air balls would be implemented: ie: ball jumping and hitting the table glass. Didn't some of the 90s tables...
I tried your settings exactly any get the same issue with the instructions. I tried view 4 and can see the instructions as it seems to be rendered in that view but still get the blurring at the top. tbh I tried a lot of combinations but none completely satisfying. If I hit on some nice...
