Egg Shaped Ball at top of Cab Views

Yes that is true although it isn't as extreme. Those guys were told about it plus a few other issues but they disappeared of the face of the earth and didn't fullfill many of their kickstarter awards which was a shame. Having just paid $150 for this Arcooda support I hope they can sort these...

Yes the ball does also seem to be marble-like at the bottom.

Egg Shaped Ball at top of Cab Views

Yes I think that is the reason why, and I think that is what happened in VP as well, until the developers changed the rendering of the ball to composite for it. Hopefully an easy fix for Farsight. It is surprising that Arcooda didn't notice it or raise it as an issue. Surely playing this in...

Egg Shaped Ball at top of Cab Views

Is anyone else noticing the distorted overly stretched egg-shaped ball at the top of the cab view. It looks like whatever algorithm they are using to give the table depth at the top of the table is also being applied to the ball and it looks unatural. I seem to recall Visual Pinball having...

Arcooda Cab Views 2 to 4 play in Slow Motion. View 1 fine - Build 1.70.18 (5th June)

I also tried lowering the graphic settings this morning, but it also didn't improve the performance with views 1 to 3. I would imagine the slow down for the views 1 to 3 is a bug because at the end of the day the camera isn't moving around he table. Our graphic cards are pretty powerful and...

Arcooda Cab Views 2 to 4 play in Slow Motion. View 1 fine - Build 1.70.18 (5th June)

Thanks for checking. I am away from home again, but I got my son to check and it is view 4 (the flat one) that is the only one that plays smooth. I update my first post.

Arcooda Cab Views 2 to 4 play in Slow Motion. View 1 fine - Build 1.70.18 (5th June)

Thanks for video. Looks like it works good for you. Once you turn that room brightness down and bulbs up in the settings, will look awesome ;)

Arcooda Cab Views 2 to 4 play in Slow Motion. View 1 fine - Build 1.70.18 (5th June)

I might have got the view number wrong (as I couldn't see the number anywhere), but it was the 3 non-flat views that were slow. It doesn't seem to make sense because if I run the DX11 version all views are super smooth, but in the cabinet build only the flat view is smooth. Must be some kind...

Arcooda Cab Views 2 to 4 play in Slow Motion. View 1 fine - Build 1.70.18 (5th June)

I managed to get back home for half a day this morning to do a quick test of the new Arcooda build '1.70.18 Cab' (4th June) on my desktop PC. CORRECTION: There is a massive performance issue with views 1 to 3 but not the 'flat' view 4. The ball appears to move in slow motion. I am using a...

In praise of Arcooda Cabinet mode in Pinball Arcade!

You wouldn't know if course as I wrote it in another thread but although I bought this I am away from home for 2-3 weeks so am unable to try it. However from what people are saying the other Arcooda thread the 4 views obtained by hitting C are not like the cabinet views demonstrated in the...

In praise of Arcooda Cabinet mode in Pinball Arcade!

Yea the four cabinet views I saw in the Arcooda video and their claims of improved lighting, etc. are the only reason I splashed out $150 for the cab-mode plus about 120 Euros to purchase seasons 4-7 to complete my collection. I wouldn't have bought those seasons if there wasn't the temptation...

That sounds promising. As I am away from home for a few weeks it is frustrating for me that I can't play with this now having paid for it (plus I bought my missing seasons 4-7), so it is good to hear your findings. I had one thought and I am not sure if you or someone else covered it. As...

And a totally reasonable gripe as it is what it says on the tin! It's like accepting the hand in marriage of a beautiful lady who tells you she is a nymphomaniac only to learn on your wedding night that she is actually frigid.

I thought the deadline is the date when WMS tables can no longer be sold but surely they can be updated, fixed and any Pinball Arcade program functionality (including views, cabinet mode, non-working DMDs, etc) should be fixable by Farsight beyond the deadline? Or is it the deal Arcooda have...

Thanks for confirming about the sliders. I got rid of my third screen a few years ago when I upgraded to a real DMD so the 2-screen setup is the one I would want as well. Will be interested to hear what others have found about 'lighting and graphical' improvements mentioned by Arcooda.
