I have a thing for the early 80s Williams tables. I would especially love to see Defender after getting to play a pristine one IRL recently, but also Blackout, Barracora, Flash, Grand Lizard, Solar Fire, Cosmic Gunfight, etc...
I got things sorted out. Here's a link to the files from vikingerik78's Gottlieb/Stern Challenge stream:
http://1drv.ms/1msk6wq
Just sort them by name to get them in the correct order. The file with the smallest size is the last one.
I tried putting the files in my Dropbox account overnight but I didn't realize how pathetically small the free account was (2GB) so they didn't fit. I'm trying again with another cloud account and should have it ready by the end of the day.
I actually have a copy of your Gottlieb/Stern stream. I never have a chance to watch streams live so I prefer to download them and watch as I get a chance. If you want the files, I suppose I can scare up some cloud space to upload them to. Great stream again, btw. I wish they had challenges for...
I used joy2key with a PS2 controller and just mapped the controller input to keyboard input. I got it set up pretty much like TPA that way. The computer I had it installed on died, but I probably still have the config file somewhere if you want it.
vikingerik,
I just finished watching the whole stream. I found it very entertaining and informative. Also great that you did commentary. I just can't bring myself to watch any let's plays or streams without it. I'm looking forward to future streams. If you finish the challenges, maybe you...
I was never able to make that shot from a trap, same goes for the cow ramp on AFM (I play on PS3). Other people have told me it's possible, but I just can't do it. It sucks having to do it on the fly only when the opportunity arises. It makes getting all the wizard goals a b*tch. I believe that...
I'd like to see a lot more Gottlieb tables. How about Abra-Ca-Dabra, Atlantis, Centigrade 37, Surfer, Fast Draw, Royal Flush, etc... bring 'em on please
spoonman,
I found the Season 1 pack in the PSN store as "Season 1 Bundle", but I cannot find how to download all of season 2 (there is no "Season 2 Bundle"). I own all the tables for the second season and "Season Two Pass" is all I can find in the store and I only have the option to purchase...
Spoonman, while I agree with you 100% that Sony will really get behind this, and it's a major part of the future of gaming, developing for VR is much more involved than adding stereoscopic 3D support.
Think of your typical first person shooter. Do you think a number in the upper left...
While I'm super excited for VR in any form, I just don't think the PS4 has the horsepower to adequately run it. Developers are having trouble running games with a single video output (instead of one for each eye) at 1080p 60 fps. The Oculus team has been quoted that 4K is what is really needed...
re: Virtual Reality: I've posted on this before (and there was a thread) and the response was an overwhelming "meh". I'm beginning to see a pattern in the coverage of VR, those who've tried it (me included) are total believers and can see an awesome future. Those who haven't tried it are...
From the instructions: "Both Orbs are lit at the start of each ball. Once you hit one, it's lamp will turn off. Hit the other lit orb to relight both of them."
Both orbs are lit at the start of each ball but when you hit one it's light stays on and the other orb's light goes out. You then have...
Whitewater bug:
I've got a super slim PS3 running system software version 4.50. I'm using a Samsung UN46ES6500 2012 TV running at 1080p using game mode.
I updated TPA, started a game of Genie and played one ball, exited to the menu and tried to start WH2O. It completely locked my system. I had...
Are you sure the tv doesn't have game mode? I have a Samsung LED 46" 3D smart TV (model UN46ES6500) and it has game mode. I don't think I've seen a Samsung LED tv that doesn't have game mode.
I was buying a new HD TV last February and decided for a 3d model solely based on the news of 3d support for TPA. I haven't used my 3d glasses once since buying the thing. Seriously, is this going to happen or not? When? Thanks!
It doesn't just do streaming. Games will be written to run natively on SteamOS just like any other flavor of linux. The streaming is there for "backwards compatibility" with games that run on Windows or Mac. I would assume Farsight will be writing a native SteamOS version of TPA in addition to...
