This is obviously ridiculous. I really hope that those people are a very fringe minority.
I've been seeing people celebrating all day in the kickstarter comments but I say we don't count our eggs til they're hatched. Personally, I'm still nervous. I want this to succeed so bad!
I was suggesting a physical interface, just not a complete cabinet. Picture an upright box the same height as a typical machine but only about a foot or two deep. It would still have buttons, plunger, and nudging. It would still feel like a complete cabinet and would take up a lot less space. Of...
Thank you for your reply jhamdotme. I missed that other thread. Catching up on it now.
The 2 main advantages for Oculus Rift over a physical cabinet with multi monitors are cost (way cheaper with the VR headset) and immersion (way more realistic and every table could have a different...
This really isn't that farfetched. I'm sure the next gen versions of TPA would easily be able to support a real time movable camera and they are already going to implement stereoscopic 3D in the current gen. It can't be a huge amount of work to leverage this functionality to work with the Rift.
Nobody seems to be considering the Oculus Rift. Farsight hasn't announced support for it, but I'm hoping they will. The initial version is rumored to cost $300. For pinball, the only additional hardware I could see needing is some sort of podium like stand with the proper buttons, plunger, and...
This is from the Kickstarter terms of use (http://www.kickstarter.com/terms-of-use):
Backers may increase, decrease, or cancel their pledge at any time during the fundraising campaign, except that they may not cancel or reduce their pledge if the campaign is in its final 24 hours and the...
I've been on pins and needles since this thing started. I've probably refreshed my browser a couple thousand times. A grown ass man probably shouldn't be this concerned about a video game.
I actually love the way this table plays, but the artwork problems on the PS3 make this and Black Knight the only two tables that I can briefly side with the haters on. I'm looking forward to playing Genie on PC or PS4 though!
I'm not a fan of these licenses at all, but I gave both tables a chance and ended up really liking them. CSI has some really cool features (centrifuge, skull eye locks, microscope turnaround) and the track running around the entire length of NASCAR is awesome.
I have to agree about Jackbot. I'm really not too interested in an exact repeat of a playfield, even with a new (better?) rule set. Earthshaker, BK2K, and The Party Zone would be very welcome though.
I saw this bug too. Finished the standard goals on Space Shuttle and it didn't say "Wizard Goals" on the menu. But... the very next game I completed two wizard goals and got credit for them. After that game "Wizard Goals" appeared on the menu. I'd call this a really minor annoyance.
I voted for a lot of the older machines too. I knew everybody else would be piling on the obvious more recent tables. I know this poll doesn't mean it's impossible we won't see the lower voted machines, but it's a bit disappointing IMO. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Blackout, Road Kings...
I have 2 Samsung 46" LED tvs (different models) and both work fine if set to "game mode" on the PS3 HDMI input. I did originally have a problem with the Williams Hall of Fame Collection and that's when I switched the input to game mode, which cleared it up.
Yeah, sure, they're out to get us. They hate their customers and just want us to suffer. You're absolutely right, they are liars that intentionally introduce bugs into their games just to hurt us and constantly misrepresent their product while mismanaging their company. You shouldn't do anything...
