After seeing video and realising how different the TPA one was of the real deal I've been waiting patiently for this. So awesome! Now if we can get lighting effects for iOS, wow.
I haven't played with the sound so I'll check. As far as the attractiveness, I like the sorting options and scrolling through settings and launching tables is faster so I can accept the tradeoff even if I don't like the menu buttons and other things.
Update: sound is still a binary choice: on/off.
I had hoped for end of last year. With the new ratings method in Europe I had hoped to see speedier cross-border releases, but I suspect Stern Pinball Arcade is taking up their time. I have no plans to go to Switch because I'm happy with my Wii U and don't do mobile gaming outside of my iPad, so...
New update (Gladiators, Dr. Who Master of Time) seems to have sorted UI issues for me at last: scrolling is better and I can choose different sorting options. They seem to have shifted the icons left so the right side of the screen can be used to scroll without accidentally launching a table...
I didn't think it was possible, but the UI is now worse. If I dare to even tap the home button, I can scroll through the tables, but not select any and none of the buttons work at all. I either play via the shopping cart or only the initial table I select off the My Tables list. Latest iOS 10...
dtruchan, that works, thanks! Really hating the new UI because of this! Latest update the scrolling is broken after you quit a game - not that I could launch another table anyway, but still!
That's good news. After the NS reveal I wouldn't have been surprised to see it dropped. To be honest if they announced a release for Apple TV I might be more inclined to get one of those just because of the greater likelihood of long-term support. But I love my Wii U, so as long as we get a drip...
I've been having an issue running any other table from the introduction of this new UI. I can start an initial game just fine, but when I exit to the table menu screen to choose another, it just highlights the button and no pop-up appears to let me launch a table and none of the other menu items...
Also waiting for European release...love to have S6 - especially Eight Ball Deluxe on there and I did indicate Wii U as a platform for my Doctor Who rewards, so I have to think that will be honoured someday!
Re-installing means I can now play, but between tables I gave to quit and restart the app because the selection screen stops working after one table play. I can tap buttons to my hearts content, but nothing happens. And the scrolling in the new UI sucks big time. Fingers crossed the next release...
Well I can't remember the last time I had to do this, but yes, deleting the app and reinstalling it sorted the problem. Thankfully I got in the habit of regular data backups so nothing was lost, but re-downloading dozens of tables was why I didn't want to do this. Thankfully that wasn't overly...
I'm not afraid of change, but yeah, giant icons and still having to scroll through lists of tables along with sorting options that don't minimise this - not a big win. I like the overall presentation, but I don't think there was enough thought put into how this UI would work in practice.
Being...
I applied the update and saw no change, even when I logged out, so I power-cycled my iPad Air 2. After reboot it was still the same with the camera lock, until I logged out, only now I can't login again - just keeps saying "login failed" despite using the username/password I used right before...
Frederick Yup, exact same issue as me. Why being logged in would cause the in-game camera to lock up and plunger cam 2 to scroll the screen like crazy I don't know, but I sure hope there's a fix in the works soon! Oh and logging back in caused the problem to reappear for me. Any table, not just...
My first unplayable table. iPad Air 2 running iOS 9.3.2. I like to try before I buy, so I launched free-to-play and it seemed like a good machine, but when I hit the score limit the "connecting" box for the purchase prompt just sat there forever. I tapped cancel and got prompted to buy. Did so...
Well permit me to be a dissenting voice, I really like TX Sector. The sounds remind me of classic Bally tables and that's no bad thing. This might be my favourite Gottlieb table in the app, though I find some of the shots tough to get consistently.
I wonder if NoE would have a different attitude on that? I thought that might be the reason, but it seemed too silly to be the case. Good old Nintendo!
