I'm slowly buying tables on Zen; I do wish they would introduce more bundles. I put some time in last night trying to follow what I was supposed to be doing and I've got a more favourable impression of their stuff overall, but the need to trigger events does make it feel like nothing is...
They did bring the Star Wars tables and if they're supporting PS3, Xbox 360 and Mobile I have to think they're still supporting Wii U - unless they took a bath in Star Wars? I know I haven't bought it, but that's more down to ambivalence about the license.
I've not logged in in days - too busy watching RiffTrax and the new MST3K box! I'll get online tonight though; I've been neglecting Paper Mario and have a serious gaming backlog as well.
I'm also still hoping for lighting controls - playing in a "darkened room" like my favourite arcade. Haunted House just doesn't look right brightly illuminated like that!
Absolutely. I think for iOS we're also still needing some tables emulated unless I'm mistaken (Black Knight comes to mind) along with asset refreshes. I don't know if they've drawn a line yet and dropped support for older iPads and such, but I think that's going to have to be thought about soon...
I'm surprised we haven't already seen Ace High released, but as part of an EM two-pack it will be worth the wait. I still can't believe they're still releasing tables - far beyond what I expected when they first started this!
I know it's likely they're dumping the PPC, but it seems to me a daughterboard could solve that problem: run the NX in "Wii U" mode like the Wii U runs Wii mode. Obviously if there's a handheld that links up you couldn't take the Wii U games on the go as that would be too many chips for a...
I like the exclusive table idea, but having amiibos of pinball machines or any amiibo functionality would also be cool like the custom ball idea. That would involve working closely with Nintendo to be sure and boost confidence in title support on the platform. At this point though I'll settle...
I'm also thinking if the NX is a home console, Nintendo would be foolish not to run Wii/Wii U software on it via some kind of compatibility layer, whether a daughterboard or emulation. The eShop has a lot of content and that would effectively make Pinball Arcade a launch title on NX as well!
If...
I've sent out my requests. I not only fired up Zen 2 for the first time in many months, but I even bought another bundle of Marvel tables! I've beaten a couple of your lower scores Steve, but it's going to take some time to learn the tables and chase properly. One of the problems I've had with...
The Pro Controller is straight digital. Honestly I wish someone had a good pad for the PS3 that doesn't have analogue triggers. None of my games use them and they don't feel right. I got some nice covers to stop my fingers slipping off them, but I'd rather they were straight up clicky-click...
Yeah the Nintendo Direct mention seems to lay that concern to rest, now will it be this month or next month? More importantly, how much is this going to cost me and can I import my scores, etc. from the iOS version via my PBA account?
If the NX is indeed a rumoured home console with a Gamepad that's usable as a fully portable system in its own right, it's possible it could displace the iPad as my mobile gaming platform. The Pinball Arcade would be a must if so!
Gamepad on its side would be interesting. The perspective is my main concern. One of the things I like about the iPad is being able to use a vertical display, but my TV doesn't rotate, so that's out (assuming they even programmed that in). I did buy a couple of tables for the Mac version before...
