Golden Age comics are from the 40s, so I find it odd that 90s is labeled as "golden age", especially since it wasn't the only era when pinball was thriving. I don't like being told about sales repeatedly. It's a kick in the pants since I know sales are important, but, at the same time, not...
I disagree here since that would leave out some good pre-1966 pins like Slick Chick, 1953 Grand Slam, and Queen of Hearts that are definitely good from more than just a historical perspective.
Other posts suggested confusion over EMs (EM tables were mentioned one time after a question about Black Hole and Gorgar in regards to emulation, despite neither being EMs). I feel preventing confusion over EMs will get us full emulation of older tables faster. According to ipdb, Stern was...
Great news, though it's a bit disappointing to hear Stern games referred to as EM, since most of the early Sterns are SS machines with ROMs (I hope this confusion isn't part of the reason why the early SS games aren't emulated). I would like to see both polls myself.
Big Guns. Despite the mixed ratings on ipdb (mainly due to the lack of pop bumpers), I found it to be an extremely fun table. I played a Fire recently. That's another fun one that lacks pop bumpers.
You didn't get them in the beta? Maybe some changes are only on some models (I'm on ipad 1)? Totan had the same lamp in the beta too (pegs holding lamp up now look like screws with awkward textures, but rest of lamp looks better).
I was comparing it to the real table. It does seem to be running smoother, but I'm on iPad 1 and Black Hole never ran slow for me. Personally, I think the flipper gap is a serious issue since the bottom playfield gap was always off and the gap on both playfields is now more like Pinball FX2 and Zen.
The flippers were changed in Black Hole. They look too thin now. The flipper gaps for both the upper and lower playfields are off now. The lamp was changed in Tales of Arabian Knights and the bottom part of the lamp looks a bit off.
Don't get me wrong, I rather see a ton of tables than Robocop (which I don't really care to see) or TMNT (not bad, but not even in the top 100 of tables I want to see), but I was simply stating what I saw on Facebook. Also, I still like TMNT myself and find it to be more than "children's...
This was the original post:
There was no Dragon's Fury hate. Dragon's Revenge is the US made "sequel" done by Tengen rather than Compile (most likely the developers of the TG-16 version) or Technosoft (Genesis port). I only played a bit of it, but from videos and my impressions of the physics...
Rollergames is licensed. It's based on a TV show.
Jurassic Park is number 20 on ipdb. The fact is that Farsight commented on TMNT and Robocop on facebook. Also, as I said, the Robocop comment was a definite maybe (doh. remembered it wrong). The only reason I don't have the facebook comments...
I was shocked by the comment as well. I wasn't expecting to see Farsight reply to posts on Robocop or TMNT, but they did. I actually wouldn't mind TMNT myself. It's not the best table out there, but it isn't a bad one either.
Minstrel Man
Not sure what you are getting at here. Many EMs aren't rare and even sell for much less than SS tables. There are some EMs with production numbers around 10,000, especially some Gottlieb ones like Royal Flush. The odd thing is that Big Shot is only 2,900 units, but Hot Shot, the...
I'm not sure. Some would probably need kickstarter, but it's interesting that Farsight commented both on TMNT and Robocop recently on Facebook. I forgot the exact comments, but, if I remember correctly, they showed interest in TMNT and said that Robocop may or may not be possible.
