bavelb, I have doubts about Farsight due to their track record outside of pinball and how even the previous pinball collections had major bug and issues (lock ups and many bugs in Gottlieb PHOF PS2 US, various bugs, including a major Funhouse bug in Williams PHOF, that is in ALL versions, Harem...
This is extremely disappointing to hear. I was hoping more effort would be put into doing older emulation, despite of how difficult it is. It sounds to me like a lot of features that should be inculded are left out due to fear of bugtesting and a streamlined engine. I don't see how older...
I was able to get the movement smooth using certain settings, but I used around 50,000 cycles with double buffering. I also recommend keeping the CPU type at auto. It acts odd on the dynamic setting too.
They mentioned right away that they had the rights to DE and SEGA when they were first asked. They even mentioned interest in Tales from the Crypt. It's very possible we won't see DE tables, but at the same time, nothing has been confirmed and Farsight is still in the process of deciding on...
I certainly hope not. I rather see them emulated than scripted, even if it is only one or two tables. After seeing what Farsight did with Tee'd Off in Gottlieb Pinball Hall of Fame, I don't want to see any more DMD tables scripted.
I would like to hear more solid information about Arnold being super expensive to license or not. I keep hearing speculation about how expensive he would be, but he isn't acting as often (though he's in Expendables 2). Also, wouldn't a flop movie like Last Action Hero be less expensive to...
Jack*Bot isn't just Pin*Bot with a DMD slapped on. The rules are different. Jack*Bot's rules are based on gambling, with chances to bet your score. The goal is completely different from lighting the planets on Pin*Bot. Jack*Bot also has 3 ball multiball instead of 2 ball.
New Xboxes lack the memory card slot, but now allow for the devices like USB memory sticks to be used instead. I still think the reason for the delay is lame, though.
I think the touchscreen question should be more specific. The touch nudge already works as it should. It works consistantly and is sensitive enough to work very well. The question that should be asked, is if the shake and slide nudge features will be fixed. I think another good question is...
I'm a little disappointed with the negative comments towards 360 due to Pinball Arcade, myself. I didn't get it solely for Pinball Arcade and I enjoy the system quite a bit. I have been playing Bionic Commando Rearmed, Bayonetta, and Monster World IV (which I just beat). I also have a few of the...
At least 360 is getting multiple tables at once and the table packs were approved. Still very annoying. I also heard Oddworld Stranger's Wrath wasn't released on 360 at all becuase of some inconsistent crap. Any way to do a petition? There is no way this is helpful for them and I think their...
I'm still going to wait for the 360. I have the iOS version to play in the mean time, but the 360 tables run better than iPad 1. I'm still confident that it will come out, but I wish MS wasn't so stupid about updates. Farsight, is there anyway to give a petition to MS or something? Other things...
