I know there's an agreement on certain Stern games where ones in production (which isn't the case anymore, but may have been when they were made) can't be recreated. They both use SAM, which means use of the ROMs isn't allowed until they make a successor.
I consider those two more semi-originals. Not exactly like the real table, but still designed after them. The latter is based on Pirates of the Carribean.
Many classic collections have configurable options and leave the obscure stuff out. The operators menu will be included with a special version of Twilight Zone for people who donated over 100 dollars. While it's not emulation, Zen makes it so the operators menus changes don't count on the high...
AFAIK, Baby Pac-Man is in license limbo since it was made by Midway without Namco's permission (Mr. and Mrs. Pac-Man is probably in the same boat). Bobby kind of answered the question about KISS in the last Q&A (not directly, but he said all of the bands questioned wanted a huge cut of the...
I also like HAL's pinball games, especially Revenge of the Gator and Kirby's Pinball Land. I miss the games with multi-tiered boards. I like Pinball FX2, Metroid Prime Pinball, and Pokemon pinball, but I miss the style of the Crush games and HAL's pinball games (a couple of which probably had a...
Is this part of the reason we got Creature from the Black Lagoon (which has some licensed music, but instrumental)? I hope this bodes well for Party Animal, Party Zone, and High Speed II as well.
If you are allowed to say so, I'm curious if you approched anyone for T2? If so, how reasonable (or...
The list isn't that comprehensive. It's missing this. It's not a bad list, though.
Stern Electronics also had the rights to Chicago Coin. However, the 70s-early 80s Stern Electronics was a different company from Data East/Sega/Gary Stern, though the current Stern has the rights to Stern...
I don't know why these issues keep popping up. First Black Hole, then MM. Black Hole they didn't have the real table until recently, but MM they got the flipper spacing right on PHoF and have a real table.
If they end up doing Fireball when they do EMs, it would be interesting to see how...
I don't understand the worst case senario constantly coming up. It's true that this is far from a simple thing, but stuff like difficulty modes and number of balls is part of the real machine. I get that it's not easy, but for a collection striving to be as realistic as possible, I would think a...
Where did this come from? I highly doubt anyone would say anything about Harley Davidson if it wasn't for that making of video. Farsight has the table on site too. No wishful statements at all.
As far as I know, the US Last Gladiators is the same as the JP with no censorship, but there is a more rare ver. 9.7 that is Japan only. From what I heard, it's tweaked quite a bit, bit not really that much better. I wasn't specific enough when I said "theme". I have no issue with occult themes...
No problem with the youtube links. I was saying, as already mentioned in a previous post in this thread, that the two "different" games you pointed out are actually the exact same game.
You misread my post. I didn't say I couldn't find the TG-16 Time Cruise (which is really Time Cruise II). I...
Both Gorgar and Black Hole have ROMs. The visual pinball versions support ROM emulation too. The BH rules are in a topic here on the forum. I know you posted elsewhere that it's being worked on, but it's disappointing to hear confusion over which games can be rom emulated. All solid state games...
