ok, I found if I press Ctrl T I can switch it out of the stupid 3d mode. But if I switch back to desktop then back to the game it's in stupid 3D again. Also if you flip 5 times on one flipper it goes to desktop and asks if you want to activate Sticky Keys. If I go to the relevant control panel page and turn it off and say Apply, Explorer hangs. (Granted that may not be a PA flaw but it's damned irritating nonetheless).

But basically every time I go to the game, or switch back to it from desktop, it's in bloody 3D mode. No idea what that's all about.

You should be able to buy a season pass by selecting any table in the Season 1 or 2 folder and then it'll ask if you want to purchase a season pass for that season.

Thanks, Jeff. I didn't think about buying one game and being offered the pack. I did go searching for 20 minutes to find the answer on my own; however, I knew you would be kind to help me and anyone else that didn't know.

Edit: Off to play some pinball. Enjoy all. Thanks FarSight staff for putting together a bang-up game.

The people complaining about european prices are probably forgetting that we pay VAT for all steam purchases. It varies by country but at least where I live it's 24%. So the season pack prices are actually only 0.5€ more expensive than the US prices once you account for that.

YEE-HA! Downloading now, 2.3 out of 2.7 GB (which means I am almost there! YAY!).

I am definitely excited! We'll see if my computer with a semi-modern setup that can play Skullgirls fine can play this problem-free.

Wow!

The game looks fantastic in 1080p with all settings maxed and post processing enabled. My PC with an i7-3770K cpu and GTX770 video card handled this game with ease and FRAPs benchmarks were locked in at a steady 60 fps. (synched to 27" monitor)

I've only played this before on my PS3 and iPad (3rd gen), so this is the first time I have been able to use post processing without severely lagging the game play, which made it practically useless. Everything looks so much clearer and the lights really seem to come to life now.

More on the anti-aliasing:

32xCSAA+TrAA:

8xSGSSAA:

4K downsampled with no AA:

Unfortunately, it looks like we will have to stick with MSAA for now. (CSAA is an MSAA variant)
Using supersampling really blurs the image.
4K rendering looks a lot better (less aliasing without blurring the image) but the UI and table lighting doesn't seem to render correctly.

Okay bought the S1 Pro Pack, tried Scared Stiff and... Not only was the camera in a weird place, the DMD didn't show up! Am I doing something horribly wrong?

Ah okay. For some reason you guys seperate that stuff from the price.

Really impressed with how smooth this runs...I was scared this would be a nightmare for the mediocre video card on my laptop, but now I'm confident this will be the platform I stick with since the 360 version has been in a coma for a year now.

That being said, is there any way to get rumble on this thing through my 360 controller plugged into my laptop here? I am missing it a lot.

And my mind. It's blown. I'll have to do some major testing and optimization on my setup on Wednesday because tomorrow is going to be an early day. Oh and BTW, on my first full game on SS I got the high score achievement. Already. So, a nice happy note to end on for the evening. :D

I would love to have rumble, too.

I may be a total fool here, but I thought that all table purchases were linked to the farsight account. Say, Twilightzone and ST:TNG for those that backed it. I'm missing those, and I purchased all the tables I own on IOS..does this not carry over to the steam version?

IOS tables do not carry over to steam or any other platform. Any IOS device will have your tables. Did you choose the Kickstarter tables for IOS or did you select PC? If you selected IOS then you will need to purchase the tables

Is there any way to restore tables from other platforms on this?
I purchased most/all of Season One on my account, and all of Season One & Two for my father as well, but recently sold my iPad and would like to move over to the PC version.

Working on Windows 8.1 with a wireless 360 controller here.

Looks like the game needs compatibility bits enabled, that is extremely blurry for SGSSAA.

Anti-aliasing causes an image to become blurrier the higher it's set. It's by design, the interpolation of colours smooths the sharp jagged lines. Balance between stair-stepping and blurriness

Also, you need to purchase the tables as other platforms don't carry over.

Some tables will be my 4th time purchasing (all the xbox tables) up to scared stiff and twighlight zone will be my 3rd time purchasing and the rest will all be my second time purchasing, so i know...it's costly.

OK what the actual ****. Downloaded it, went to play, and for one it comes up with an overlay message courtesy of nVidia saying it's "not rated" which i can't clear since I'm using a mac keybord and it wants me to press ctrl alt insert and there is no insert on this keyboard.

But weirdest of all it's in some kind of red/green 3D mode. How the smeg do I turn that **** off?

You seem to have enabled some sort of anaglyph 3d mode supported by your graphics card. You will need to do a search on how to disable that completely. Also, try using a windows keyboard, you can get one for like 6$ and it has all your windows necessary keys.

Accessibility options are under the Start Menu > All Programs > Ease of access > Keyboard options (or something like that). You will need to actually disable the keyboard shortcut for sticky keys (which is 5x SHIFT) not just turn it off

Further, it's probably better to just change the key mapping anyway
My suggestion:

F/J = Left/Right Flipper (resp)
H = Left Nudge
G = Right Nudge
SPACE = Up nudge
R/U = Secondary Left/Right Flipper (resp)
T = Down Nudge
D = Hud On/Off Toggle (D for DMD)
ENTER = Plunger/Plunge Button

The cool thing about this is it allows you to play while holding your hand in a comfortable "touch-typing" homerow position which is ergonomical enough to work for an 8 hour work day. That and you don't require any system keys that might toggle your accessibility options.

You'll be waiting a while for the HD update. There aren't many VP tables that look this good. Yeah the object geometry is a bit on the primitive side, but for the vast majority, the textures are quite nice.

Never mind... Must have been something weird that happened. It's fine now

By default the HUD toggle is the H key. It will turn the DMD and other displayed info on and off. I've suggested an alternate keyboard config further up.

It should also be noted that with AA off and the ball reflection on low (it was fine on high but multiball caused some frame rate drop) and post processing on (which i turned off because i think it looks better without) it runs fine on my now five year old laptop.

Specs:

Intel Core2 Duo 2ghz
4 GB DDR2 at 633mHz
512MB ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro Mobile
1280x800 (I'll be trying it on my 22" 1680x1050 as well)

Smooth as silk
