I will say this, and it's my personal opinion, if everyone worried more about the rewards than getting the actual project funded, we wouldn't get anywhere, but in the end, it's your money and you can do what you please with it.

The rewards are definitely not what I care about or I wouldn't pledge. A frickin' wallpaper?! Are you kidding me? Who doesn't own Photoshop? Twilight Zone is the reward! :)

If we don't reach $110,000, my guess is...they might just go ahead and pursue the STTNG licenses anyway because they know people will buy the table either way.

I tend to agree but it doesn't help Farsight to play the nice guy just yet. Lets just aim for $110,000 and see where we are at in 15 days.

If they can get a big enough user base, they won't need to depend on kickstarter. Hopefully TZ will help with that.

This seems odd to me!!.

How come ST: TNG will require the exact same amount of funding (55K) as The Twilight Zone does!? Surely each table has different license fees that need to be paid, so something doesnt seem right here. Can anyone shed any light on this??

The FS guys at one point said that both licenses (TZ and Trek) were held by CBS and were similar in cost. This was the reason for going after ST:TNG and not Addams Family. They already have talked to the people who hold the property and know the price for it so the legwork is done, all they need is the loot.

I will be doubling my pledge. I am not the biggest fan of sttng but just as in my previous post, I see the extra value that is being added and I am responding in kind by having my donation reflect the doubled value that will come from an additional premium table. Again, I would encourage anyone else to do the same if it is within your means to do so.

If we don't reach $110,000, my guess is Farsight will either start another KS for less OR they might just go ahead and pursue the STTNG licenses anyway because they know people will buy the table either way.

I've already posted about this very thing on the Kickstarter page, if you're more worried about the rewards than getting the table made, then just hold off pledging any more money and put it towards the next Kickstarter for ST:TNG (if needed).

I will say this, and it's my personal opinion, if everyone worried more about the rewards than getting the actual project funded, we wouldn't get anywhere, but in the end, it's your money and you can do what you please with it.

YES to both of you! I really appreciate the sensible thought, ideas and way of going about discussion in this forum, which is in stark contrast to most of anything on facebook and sadly the kickstarter campaign comments as well. (>_<)

Just put in whatever money you want to give and see where that gets us! Trying to split hairs over when the best strategic point has been reached to pledge or withdraw or lower or whatever is just taking it too far...

The only change I would think about for my pledge would be to increase it, if it looked like the stretch goal needed it. I guess this is what many did yesterday. Although in my case for this to be financially viable, I would need another pledge level above $100. I'm not quite ready to up my pledge by a factor of five... but who knows =)

Like others have mentioned - I would introduce a $150 and $200 tier with rewards that wont (or shouldn't) cost too much at all (if anything) - eg. For a $150 pledge maybe a developer diary video in HD that could be downloaded when the project is complete...Say for a $200 pledge...Perhaps some Skype sessions with the team throughout the project?

Surely they get far more donations if they'd waited til the game was out across all continents before trying to start the kickstarter?

Did I miss something?...I thought we met our goal already and heading steadily towards the stretch goal. :)

True, but my post simply implied they'd get more money, and faster, if they'd waited til it was released everywhere. I'm proud of the fact that the first goal has been met, and I'd probably think the vast majority of donations have come from American fans. It's just a shame it's not out everywhere, would probably had quarter of a million by now! B-)

I have no fear, I just doubled my pledge from 50 to 100. We have already reached our first goal in half the time needed to do so. I believe with the prospect of killing two birds with one stone, getting Twilight Zone and Star Trek The Next Generation funded at the same time, it would be better for all of us as it would cut down on time needed to go through a second kickstart program. Let us all take a leap of faith as we all did making our first pledge, remember there were those doubtful we would reach our original goal, and let us all double our pledges and show everyone that we are a force to reckoned with! I can not say I would contribute as much to every kickstart program but TZ was one of my favorite shows and although I am more of a fan of the original Star Trek, any Trek is better than none.

Here is a little incentive for all of you .... anyone who honestly states they have doubled their pledge and PMs me, I will send you a free PC game ... it will be sent via a private message from me, but in order to receive the gift you must PM me stating you doubled your pledge.

NOTE: ANYONE WHO HAS ALREADY RECIEVED A FREE GIFT FROM ME FROM THE PSN USERNAME THREAD, WILL RECIEVE A DIFFERENT GAME FROM ME FOR THIS THREAD!

I have a feeling they will be stand alone downloads ... premium price for a premium table ... if they add a second table, they will lose out on money.

I hope they bring them together in a DLC, and not 2 DLC filled with 2 uninteresting machines.

FarSight stated that if the stretch goal is achieved, we should see The Twilight Zone in November and Star Trek : The Next Generation in December. I'm going to assume they'll be bundled with a PHOF table as this is the way FarSight plans to release DLC for the entire first year.
