Actually since theirs a Stern table coming and Sega is part of Stern, I really think it will be Godzilla. The movie comes out this Friday, so they can release the Pinball Table from the Matthew Broderick flick.

Not a chance in hell. They would have to deal with both Sony and Toho, the latter has been known for being stingy with their property over the past 15 years or so. They once made one of their U.S. distributors pull one of their blu-rays because it included images of posters promoting the film as a special feature. Posters for Christ sake!!!

This is how Japanese companies tend to work in regards to what foreign companies are allowed to do. You wouldn't believe the kinds of nightmares FUNimation has to put up with when it wants to get anime distributed on home video. For instance, Toei Animation (best known in the west for Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, and One Piece) will give American distributors a few pieces of artwork and some screenshots and will only allow the distributor to use those images, the episodes (usually in SD when an HD option is available, or a low-quality compressed video when an HD version is not available), and nothing else.
There are two reasons for this: Firstly, Japanese companies are very prideful in their work and do not trust western companies to handle their media the way they want, hence the hand-tying. They are absolutely terrified that these foreign companies will tarnish their brand name. This is why Nintendo, at least until earlier this year, is so notoriously protective of its franchises (more so than Disney, as can be seen in Disney's failure to get Mario into Wreck-It Ralph).
The second is that home video in Japan is very, very expensive. We're talking US$130 to US$150 for 2 episodes of content on one disc, or US$200 to US$250 for a movie. This is because there is a small but devoted collectors' market in Japan that's rather competitive in how much they've spent in their total collection--hence, higher prices will actually appeal more to them. (Many will not even open the plastic wrapping as the price tag is on them.) As this is the safest bet to turn a profit, Japanese media companies turn to these guys first and usually exclusively. Normal people in Japan, however, will not put up with this sort of price, and with the advent of region-free DVD players in computers, the ease of Internet shopping, and the near-universal availability of Japanese audio on the discs, reverse importation from the United States became widespread, as the American DVDs are priced normally at US$30 to US$50 for season sets of 26 to 52 episodes on multiple discs. Japanese companies, especially Toei, were outraged by this and tightened the limitations foreign distributors can have to ensure that these foreign products are made so inferior, or delayed years down the road, to try to turn reverse-importers away. (Ultimately, it didn't work and only made piracy worse.)

Again, my guess is that the rest of the table releases this season will be tables from the Top Ten Poll. (With "High Speed" being the lone exception.)

There are 5 polls, I believe. You'll find that Black Rose, Fish Tales, BK2K, and Junkyard all did well in these polls. I expect Safe Cracker will come some time this season as well.
