thats just a bunch of #'s ER! wich stat is most important...votes? amount of tables from the year of incomplete polls? why not factor in amount of tables produce increasing the factor of popularity and nostalgia. TAF is a perfect example its the most produced machine, sure it fun but highest produced means most polled would relate or remember it because of nostalgic reason. GOOD JOB throwing all that together though there can be something learned from it, most people who visit this forum and socialise not only prefer the NEWER tables but have probably never played the older ones. I seen this in person at 2 pinball shows. I wonder if FS has a tracker on tables played when signed in hmmmm...

theres got to be an equation. seperate EM from SS machines to start, then equate the amount of machines made as negative points against the score of popularity More Machines = less chane of nostalgia every 500 is a, -1 divided by votes. just for fun :p

Polls should have maybe been set up based on when they came out rather than who made them.

Yeah, I get what you're saying and it makes sense. Unfortunately I don't have the production data available to me. I just scraped what Pin Wiz included in the polls into a spreadsheet real quick and looked at some stats with a pivot table. I was mostly just curious if the voting pattern really held up the idea that the masses prefer the newer machines. In some ways it did but mostly it just showed that people want quality tables that they're familiar with like you said.

Here's an interesting note - Haunted House was #10 in overall votes even though its poll had less than 2/3 of the participants that the Premium Licensed poll had. It also had the 3rd highest vote percentage behind only IJ and TFTC.

Don't you love those "What's fixed" and "What's new" for (almost) all platforms in the News thread? We still don't get that for PS3 and PS Vita nor do we have a satisfactory answer as to why this information isn't provided.

Here's a sneak peek at a new section I'll be adding to the News Thread very soon entitled "The Pinball Arcade Table Power Rankings For The Week Ending..." which will be based off how many new players post to the leaderboards (new sales) for each table or table pack each week. This, of course, is only a rough estimate since there are people playing The Pinball Arcade without a FarSight Account which means their scores will not be posted to the leaderboards until they create and log into their FarSight Account.

Below is the results of the past two days and is a rough version of what will be posted each week in the new section of the News Thread. The number in parenthesis represents the number of new player scores that were posted for each table or table pack for the past two days. This number will represent the number of new player scores posted for an entire week once I begin posting the rankings. I will also show how many spots a table or table pack rose or dropped from their previous week's ranking.

Also, the reason why I didn't rank each table individually is for the simple fact that individual table purchases were discontinued beginning with Table Pack #10, so yes, this is also set up to show which table or table packs are selling well and which are not doing so hot.

Note that Tales of the Arabian Nights will hold the top spot the majority (if not all) of the time since it is available for FREE on just about every platform.

Hope you enjoy the upcoming power rankings!

01) Tales of the Arabian Nights (FREE on most platforms) (580)
02) Theatre of Magic (260)
03) Ripley’s Believe It or Not! (210)

05) Haunted House/Tee’d Off (190)
06) Attack from Mars/Genie (170)

09) Black Hole (150)
10) The Machine : Bride of Pin•Bot (150)
11) Monster Bash (150)

That seems like a cool idea, it will be interesting to see which tables the most people are playing week by week. I bet MM and AFM will do the best on a regular basis out of the DLC tables.

TOM, RBION, AFM, MM + TOTAN

Probably not possible but it would also be interesting to publish the results of the monthly leaderboards. Or can I see them somewhere?

Someone on GameFAQs said Pack 19 will be on PSN December 4 with Pack 20 to follow on December 11. Don't know where he got his info from.

Isn't that too soon for 20 to make a appearance? Thought it was pretty much a month after Android.
Would be quite happy to see though. That and the big patch...would be quite a finish to the year.

Firepower rated last superb :)

Overall quite accurate how I would rank it. But I guess I am the average casual player :)

Champions pub, whirlwind and cactus canyon I just don´t understand the low ratings though.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that person on gamefaqs admitted to pretty much speaking out of his ass. Sorry to get my fellow Triple players' hopes up.
