I love reading that first post now. FarSight's view on Cue-Ball Wizard vs. Eight Ball Dlx is mind boggling.

That first post is pretty funny, as everyone has said. Thought I'd add comments for what did make it in...

AC/DC - "ACDC carries an astronomical license."
Which is why Oculus wound up picking up the tab for the kickstarter

The Addams Family - "We've recently made a bit more progress, we've heard back from paramount from someone a little higher up than we were speaking to before, but we still don't have a completely clear path yet... progress is always good though :)" "the most difficult license we've ever pursued (aside from Indiana Jones which seems to be impossible), we're still trying to get the Addam's Family, but we have to find a way to overcome the hurdles with the licensing of that table, which is proving to be extremely daunting."
It is pretty amazing they cleared the hurdles they did, and this also kicked off the era of being able to 'fester' a table

Banzai Run - "Possible, yes, likely no."... in response to whether BR was possible for TPA "Definitely on our radar... perhaps in the next season pack at some point, but we're not sure ourselves yet."
Rather appropriate then that this would be the final table ever for WMS

Bonebusters - "Looks pretty cool, probably won't make it to this season though."
Looks cool? Too bad nobody bothered playing it!

Bram Stoker's Dracula - "Great game. :)" "Maybe someday."
Good thing they got that 4 table license from Sony

Cyclone - "considering" "That's definitely high on our list of requested tables."
So glad Comet was never on the list

Diner - "It is a very fun table, and one we're hoping to do in the future at some point." "Definitely a frequent request."
One of their better early jobs too

Dr. Who - slim to none on chances of ever being made "every Dr. who on the table, Bally, and the BBC would all want checks."
ahahahahaha, never say never!

Earthshaker! - (indicated a 5 or 6 out of 10 chance of being in TPA)
I can't believe they only gave this a 50/50 shot at being included

Eight Ball (Deluxe) - "(not) planned for the immediate future..." "We liked CBW (Cue Ball Wizard) a lot better too, which is why we made it"
...and then Norman played it at Arcade Expo 2.0 and voila

F-14 Tomcat - "Definitely a popular table, not confirming anything at this point though"
Took 'em long enough

Fathom - (indicated a 0 out of 10 chance of being in TPA)
I wonder what changed their mind. Other than it being non licensed and all kinds of fun

Fireball - "(it) may (be added at some point)"
The best EM they did in my opinion, and then reskinned for Tournaments app

Firepower II - "That's not on the way anytime soon. Maybe at some point down the road though."
If only this had of been a 0 out of 10

Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball - "Never heard of it... if we start getting a lot of requests for it we may look into it." "Isn't on our list of top 20 most requested tables at this point."
So they got a lot of requests I guess?

The Getaway - "Definitely high on our list of desired tables..."
As it should have been

High Roller Casino - (indicated a "4ish" out of 10 chance of being in TPA)
another that makes me laugh as they then did it soon after

High Speed - "nope... not at this time."
and then they blinked

Hurricane - "Cyclone almost unanimously does better in polls"
...but that won't stop us from doing it!

Indianapolis 500 - (indicated a 0 out of 10 chance of being in TPA)
another I'm sure they never played before saying that.

Jack Bot - "it's definitely on our radar."
speaking it into existence

Judge Dredd - (indicated a 0 out of 10 chance of being in TPA)
amazing how many of the 0 out of 10's got in eventually compared to some that seemed like sure bets and then didn't

No Fear: Dangerous Sports - "At some point maybe."
thank you 'festering'!

Party Zone - "(We are) thinking about it." "we have looked into party zone, but don't have it for sure on the docket at this point." (previously indicated a 6 out of 10 chance of being in TPA)
Dr Dude needed a friend is my guess

Phantom of the Opera - "Great table. Maybe someday."
uh huh. Got the greenlight for Data East and then realized most had a license you couldn't afford

Rescue 911 - "Not on our immediate list, but maybe someday" "This has had a high number of requests... not guaranteeing anything this season, but we know it's a popular one."
why, just why? I think I've played this 10 times max

Road Show - "Great table" "it is" (in the top 20 games they're looking at)
They really did a bang up job on this. So glad it made it in

Safe Cracker - (indicated a 6 out of 10 chance of being in TPA)
I consider this a miracle and was one of the 'holy grail' tables I hoped they'd snag

Sorcerer - "maybe" "we'd like to do sorcerer, we traded that license for fish tales last season, however. We don't have a final answer on that matter yet... but we are looking into it." "what we mean is that we had one left on the previous contract, which we decided to use on fish tales instead of sorcerer."
and then they had to deal with people begging for it for 6 years

Swords of Fury - "Not a lot of chance for that one any time in the near future."
another that I think fans bullied them into, only this time I approve

World Cup Soccer '94 - "Probably not going to make it to the game any time soon." "would be a huge license"
The ultimate in 'festering', and so glad Norman asked if I thought people would be cool with it all. For the record, I said yes.

Xenon - "Maybe" "Not at the moment, but perhaps someday."

Also reading on some others:

Big Bang Bar - "Licensing isn't the problem, emulating the chipset used would take a ton of horsepower."
Now that we have better tech...

Big Buck Hunter - "not sure yet."
We know it's coming, but when?

Breakshot - (indicated a 0 out of 10 chance of being in TPA)
Possible now?

Star Trek - "Not very high (chance) for the near future, but as Eric said, Day 1 emulation would be great and is something we'd love to do if we can find a way to make it work."
Stern Pinball Arcade, baby.

Rollercoaster Tycoon - "According to Gary Stern, we already did that one :p" "We can confirm that we HAVEN'T done that one, yet. We'd love to at some point though."
Heh, that joke was a blast from the past. That would be the ultimate meme if they were like "Hey, we released RollerCoaster Tyccon even though we released it several years back! So here it is again!".

For some reason I can recall a lot of people asking for this one. Particularly mentioning nostalgia for the show. I had never played it before so didn't have an opinion one way or the other. It was just meh. Not terrible but not great either.

I do seem to recall reading some of their table purchases were based upon what was available at the time and what was cheapest to buy. So I imagine some of these 0 of 10 changes were tables that popped up for sale at an inexpensive price.

Thanks for pulling these quotes. Its an interesting look back at what came to be based on the company comments.

Can actually remember a few people every week posting to bring Rescue 911 to TPA on Facebook.

Yep. And judging by what happened after, being that these same “random” people all just happen to request another one machine, all the very same day, I’m certain it was just 1 guy with multiple accounts.

Oh, oh, new conspiracy to dive into! Funny thing is I think I have a pretty good guessas to the culprit.

Probably the same people who used to talk about how good Cactus Jack's is online until it got added.

Was is someone that got banned from here and decided to take it out on FarSight?

No, but they literally would not shut up about 911, mentioning it in nearly every post here, almost like a signature. And they were on Facebook making requests in other table announcement posts. One of the only people I ever had to drop from my Facebook account.

I don't hate 911 as much as many, but I get tired of it so quickly. I totally remember the campaign to get it added. It was relentless.

I personally loved Rescue 911, but I think Unsolved Mysteries would have had greater potential for a pinball game, if they'd made one.

In other words, Who Dunnit?

haha, in part... but a proper Unsolved Mysteries table would have to have included Ghosts, UFOs, Cryptids, etc. as well. Imagine a playfield with Nessie... a UFO... a hunted house... Who Dunnit? meets The X-Files, basically. haha.

Except, with creepy music and cool Robert Stack call outs. :D

I know this may have been sour grapes, but there were 3 tables from my childhood that I wish had made it. Bad Cats, Mousin' Around and Jokerz!, those three would have made this feel complete. Don't get me wrong, I played a lot of these tables growing up, some with my Dad who passed this past April (Haunted House) some growing up (BK2K, EarthShaker!, The Machine) and even some in college (Attack From Mars, Medieval Madness) and I'm very grateful to have them but I just feel like they could have done those instead of a few of the clunkier tables, like say Xenon.

oh and I almost forgot the first pinball table I ever remember playing.... Playboy. I still can hope for the 2000s version from Stern.
