It doesn't surprise me, it's not THAT requested, much less that popular.

I'm still holding out hope for "Xenon" and "F-14 Tomcat", though.

I wonder why they shot it down, it's rated better than HRC and that got a pass. Though I'm sure that one gets brownie points since its a semi modern stern with no licence issues. Game show reminds me of junkyard in a way, I think it would make a decent fit somewhere mid-season.

It's definitely not a headliner by any means.

I think HRC got a pass because it's actually a rare table, not many were made. I think maybe only 1200. Secondly, HRC got requested a decent amount, at least from what I've seen. I think over a year and a half, I've seen "GameShow" requested maybe twice.

I wouldn't mind it, but I honestly don't care either way.

Well, they can't now because Farsight has all the rights to the recreations!

Almost unfortunately so.

Don't get me wrong, I love what FS is doing, and love the product, but Lucasfilm, POTC, Tron, and Marvel are now essentially out of reach.

Besides "Star Wars", there's really not any tables I'd even want. I mean, I'd also LOVE to get "Episode 1", but there's no way they could do that table, not with the animation stuff.

Tron? POTC? Old and new average Marvel tables?

Pass.

Some of the Marvel tables are okay. Well...Iron Man anyways. Tron, though is pretty awesome.

In response to someone asking for Judge Dredd:

"It's a really cool table. It would be nice if we could do it in the future. :)"

I hope one of these days we'll see it.

I can barely get into the newer Sterns. I just don't like em for some reason. The only ones I really like or care for are "Monopoly", "WPT", and "The Simpsons Pinball Party". The ones that I haven't played, but look really, really good are "Wheel of Fortune", "Rollercoaster Tycoon", "AC/DC", and "Metallica". (Although I wish they would've kept the goofy cartoon character OFF of the Metallica table, as well as the art, and based it on their prime years.)

I've played POTC and "Tron" recently, and to me, they weren't anything special. Plus, it doesn't help that I really don't care for either movie series.

As for the Marvel stuff, I love the License, but the tables are either all goofy and filled with toys, or the artwork is based on today's comic artwork or movies. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the movies, but how awesome would it have been to base the tables on the actual old comics or the 90's animated TV shows? The tables that actually DO base the tables on the old comics are average and boring, at best. (http://ipdb.org/search.pl?any=the+incredible+hulk&sortby=name&search=Search+Database&searchtype=quick#5350 / http://ipdb.org/search.pl?any=spider-man&sortby=name&search=Search+Database&searchtype=quick#2285)

Sadly, in my opinion, they missed the mark on the Marvel stuff during the mid to late 80's and 90's. They could've really done some great tables, based on the animated X-Men/Spider-Man TV shows.

I don't play the modern tables these days nearly as much as I played the older tables in the past (which is one of the reasons I'm always clamoring for all the old Williams System 11 tables). However, I did have a go at Tron: Legacy once at the Pacific Pinball Museum. I thought that was actually a pretty decent table. The ruleset was not incredibly deep, but still deep enough to be engaging. Plus, I do like the license, especially the music and visuals taken from the film. Of course, the point is moot. Barring a sea change in FarSight's licensing situation, we won't be seeing this table any time soon in The Pinball Arcade.

I find it hard to believe that Corvette would have more problems with licenses than Bram Stokers Dracula. There are no actors attached to that table and it's not like GM is in the video game business.
I would love to see it and Lethal Weapon 3, Judge Dredd, Demolition Man, Dolly Parton and Hurricane make it some day.

I don't think many celebrity voices or likenesses were used in the BSD table.

Yes, Gary Oldman did the voice separate from the movie, I have Paul Heitsch on Facebook. He did the sounds, Music, and Voices on a bunch of games including Bram Stoker's Dracula. He told me he went to London Englend to get Gary Oldmans voice overs for Dracula, he didn't tell me about anybody else just Gary's.

They'd still have to pay GM whatever fee GM would ask for...so yes, I can understand why it would be a problem.

So did not many people notice this little tidbit from the kickstarter update #21 for T2 with the misleading email title?

Addams Family Kickstarter

It's official!!! We have finally secured everything we needed to digitize the Addams Family pinball table!!! We will post another update when we launch the Kickstarter, so stay tuned!

It's underwhelming. It's official confirmation of the earlier teaser that they are securing rights to TAF. Big whoop.

I'll get excited when they tell us the KS deadline date and KS goal amount.

Ok then, I guess that's fair. I thought the point when they actually had licensing in hand would have been a bigger deal to people.

Hopefully we will be coming out with a few older tables. Our goal is to preserve pinball. We just need to space them out a bit more.

Looks like the tons of people who took to their FB to request EMs had some effect!

I find it hard to believe that Corvette would have more problems with licenses than Bram Stokers Dracula. There are no actors attached to that table and it's not like GM is in the video game business.

The question is whether sales would justify the license. Some titles that I think of as "minor licenses" just don't get requested as much from what I see.

I put Corvette in the category of pins like No Fear and Indy 500 -- I can't imagine these to be that expensive of a license either, and they are requested some. But they aren't in the category of pins like Judge Dredd and Red and Ted's Roadshow, which I see a *lot* of requests for on Facebook etc., and which probably aren't *that* bad of a license. (Bram Stoker's Dracula also was requested quite a bit.)

Having said that, I remember playing Corvette and thinking it was pretty decent. So I wouldn't mind seeing it either.

I've noticed too that the EM and older pin fans are indeed also starting to speak up more on Facebook. It would be less surprising to me now if one of the big early solid state tables (Xenon and EBD as I've mentioned before but Paragon seems to get some requests as well?) makes it... and maybe Farsight will actually throw in another pure 1970s EM to please that crowd. You never know.
