Cause is apparently down to working out details with Nintendo because it's the first title offered for free on a Nintendo platform with paid DLC: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/01/zen_pinball_2_dev_working_with_nintendo_to_ensure_smooth_launch
I like the fact that unlike Zen for iOS you...
Well I did spend my teenage years in San Jose, I went to Del Mar and Gunderson High.
I'm trying to remember the name of the restaurant. It was upstairs and had a couple of pinballs and a few video games. I can remember playing Double Dragon there, Black Tiger, 1942, Victory Road and Pin Bot...
I sunk many a quarter into the real deal at a restaurant in San Jose, California at the Pruneyard mall as a teenager. Great table. So iconic, it's a must for the Pinball Arcade.
I wouldn't assume that every table that has appeared in previous Farsight collections will appear here, however...
I'm not entirely sure what's confirmed or not any more, but I don't have enough of a want list to exclude the "likely to get" tables so here goes:
Pin-Bot (confirmed?)
Defender (I suppose it might require a separate license, though it's the same rights holder - Warner - so shouldn't really be...
I'm looking forward to this table getting sorted, but even so I still enjoy playing it on my iPad from time to time. It is pretty unforgiving like most older tables, but I appreciate the simplicity and speed of play found on the older solid state machines.
There are definitely some nice...
I wouldn't say no to it; it's one of the first machines I can ever remember playing. Defender seems similar enough in execution that if I had to choose between them I think I'd pick Defender just because I've never played it. Seems like a nice fast machine from videos.
I certainly remember Xenon in the arcades (unlike Centaur), however from videos it definitely is a nostalgia table for the audio and look and doesn't look like it would be brilliant to play. I get the same vibe from Space Invaders and Firepower II - both of which I was really keen to see, but I...
Zen's last update (via Twitter, no less) was that they missed the December release and it would be out in January. It's possible Pinball Arcade could beat it, but I think releasing in the same month would be pretty cool.
Nintendo Life made a point of interviewing every developer with a launch title in the eShop, so that's a good place to look. From what was stated minor bug fixes don't require a full lot check, however any changes which alter controls or add functionality do require another lot check to ensure...
Yeah I just read that and if true I'll be we'll-impressed - especially if there's a simultaneous European release! So "launch pack" just means initial release, which isn't necessarily the same as the launch pack for every other platform. If they have nearly all DLC available at launch and it...
I think speed of release is likely to relate directly to sales. I too am bummed if there's only four tables at launch, but less so if you get all four for the initial outlay (as was the case for the Mac version, I think).
I should think two packs per month would catch us up pretty quickly. I'll...
Yeah that was my issue with Genie (and El Dorado): too much empty space and the ball didn't have enough speed. I'm hopeful this release will have more zip!
Whilst I am completely outraged and feel a book-length rant is in order about the outcome of this poll, I think Centaur looks like a pretty decent table. I've never played it so it will be fun to see how it turns out.
Oh, I've read that before, but forgot. Well I cannot imagine it will be any easier either way. Trying to hit all the drop targets at the top twice was impossible for me. To be honest it's a table I can live without, but I'm sure it's gotta have a high enough position in one of the rankings that...
The shake/touch toggle still doesn't seem to work between sessions, I gotta pause the game and flip through the options to enable the shake option to get it to work again even though it shows enabled in the menu. It's been true for the last update or two.
