Also, the idea of putting flippers at almost random spots is another thing I really don't like about them.
yes, exactly that. HH and BH would be so much better tables without those double flippers at the bottom.

Lets just say if you have the PC version and know where to look you can see that LCA is the next table :(

well, LCA isn't that bad. At least, it's much better than CBW.
But honestly, for a 5$ I'll take any table.

Dito that. 5 bucks is a good price for any table. Besides, I pretty much feel obligated to pay a few bucks every now and then to Farsight for adding content to this great game. I need variety in my pinball playing and I've been surprised before how a table that seems bad at first draws me in after a while.

About spending the 5 bucks... I bought the season package in Jan. now every table feels for free! Nice sales tactics.

I think they're just going to release this and the Stern in a row for a bit of variety, and then release Diner and Bram Stoker's Dracula to finish the season off with a bang.

It has not been confirmed we are getting Dracula

He'll no one predicted we would get a damn Gottlieb table this season

Honestly, I'm okay with this. TPA was always a collection from the four manufacturers, so it wouldn't be write to completely exclude one of them from an entire season. The Premiers always play quite differently to WMS and have some unique layouts and rule ideas, which makes for a nice change from time to time.

Looking at LCA I can already see that it's quite unique for a 90s table. There are no ramp shots that lead to the return lanes!

I hope it is LCA. I've really been interested in trying it ever since I heard the discussion on the Silverball podcast about it (http://www.silverballpodcast.com/page2.html - Episode 3 after the 1:19 mark). It sounds pretty cool. I guess the red and blue lights on top are supposed to have a big effect on the look, so I hope Farsight is able to incorporate them somehow with the new lighting effects on the current gen consoles and PC.

They've been working on the purple/pink hue for ages.
I'm interested in seeing this table, I've heard some about it but I've never played it.

I would bet against. I just cant imagine they will risk no sales.

CFTBL might be table of the month.

Since all table's sales figures are pure speculation by forum members, I'd say that if Gottliebs actually sold that poorly they would reconsider releasing them.

Yep confirmed via PC
We have a Dud on our hands
In the form of LCA

It's actually frowned upon around here to discuss future tables based on the PC files, based on some mod reactions I've seen in the past. If I were both of you, I'd consider changing/removing these posts. I'm not a mod and I'm not trying to sound like I've got any authority here, just probably better to hear it from me than a moderator.

Also, I've seen a few members get warnings for essentially repeating the same opinion over and over and over in the same thread. I'm not going to try to convince you to like a table that you don't like, especially if I have no worth-while argument in the table's favour due to never playing it. Just trying to let you know before anyone with power decides to.

Personally, I like most of the gottliebs we have.

Black Hole is one of my favorite tables in TPA, i think it's well thought out and has a neat progression to it, and I like the way they emphasize building the bonus and forcing you to risk going to the lower playfield to do so.

Big Shot is a generally well looked upon table by most, except those who are die-hard EM haters. It's a tough, challenging table with simple objectives and is great for when you don't have all day to play a single game of pinball.

Genie is definitely a bit controversial, there are those who like it and those who hate it. I hated it at first but have grown to like it after taking the time to understand it. It's more complex than the layout suggests with a lot of subtleties. Not for everyone but a solid older widebody.

CBW is an ok game, not a pillar of greatness but it doesn't suck.

Class of 1812 is a fun table, though the character raps make me want to scream. Have you ever watched a movie with your family that you suggested and it happens to have some crazy sex scene in it that makes you feel really awkward to watch? That is what the character raps make me feel. Other than that the table is quite fun.

El Dorado i think would have been better as an EM, not sure why it would be better, but since it was originally an EM i think it should have been released as one. I like the table though, another nice simple one that demands accuracy

Victory is a competent lane shooter. Requires skill and does kind of feel like doing laps, since that's pretty well what you're doing by hitting the checkpoints...by far one of the worst looking tables with the worst offending textures though.

I think the only Gottlieb I don't actually like is Haunted House, which is probably my least favorite table, even under Harley Davidson.

I thought they did.

Another thing in business are the costs. Maybe they had made LCA completely some time ago (my guess last christmas) and then preferred to release Fish Tales as a single table with high chances to sell well at that time. Another Gottlieb would have created negative mood back then.

To release it now means no costs but some if little income. Maybe they sold many season passes, too.

On the leaderboards Gottliebs don't do really well but people who bought it play it. (I think)

I'm by no means a Gottlieb hater but LCA is ranked poorly. On Pinside it's not even in the Top 300. As an early 1990 table it's nothing fresh in this Season 3.

Wow, when you list it like that, it makes me realize just what tables I actively avoid. I'm not passing by those tables because I see the Gottlieb name on them. I pass them by because I don't enjoy playing them. So, at least Gottlieb is consistent.
