Note that CFTBL probably suffers from *both* of those bugs. You need to roll past 10B with a small score as always, then you also need to end the game (drain ball 3) for any rollovers to count in the tournament.
Funhouse and BoP aren't affected because they're just impossible to rollover in 20...
I think the lack of LOTR is more because this is a TPA forum and we're all playing TPA and most of us haven't even played a real LOTR table. Nothing outside of TPA has had any more than a glimpse of a brief mention here.
It certainly belongs; IPDB has it ranked #11 and it's always right up...
I'll answer as a more monster player of Pro Pinball. I set the reverse-nudge option in TPA long ago so that it matches what Pro Pinball does. Pro Pinball does it right. TPA is backwards by default.
I hate TPA's default direction of nudging. It's dumbed down, to work as if you're directly...
Get Vault Multiball and keep it going for a long time. That is the only answer. Jackpots score 150K+ and a good Vault MB can score 3 million. Nothing else on the table comes close. Ignore TNT multiball, it feels good but scores crap. Without Vault MB, you won't get much more than a million...
Pretty sure it's the former. I remember at least one table in a tourney that would sometimes pause the timer during a bonus count and sometimes not, and it seemed to match whether there was a ball locked on the table. And I'm pretty sure Farsight wouldn't bother coding timer pauses for each...
Fine, best of Funhouse strategy: Go infinite. Complete the Magic Mirror every ball for the EB. If you miss, make up for it with a Gangway EB which is also repeatable.
After you have the mirror and Gangway complete on a ball, then go for multiball since that's where all the points are...
Everybody thinks this, on all the similar center shots, the castle, the wrecking ball, the mosh pit, the roulette ramp, Disaster Drop. Everybody thinks they're just bad at pinball or at those shots. But it's not you, it's Farsight that still hasn't gotten this right after five years.
The ultra versions all have the high score list already. It's been functioning since the release months ago on iOS and Android, and seems to work in the PC beta too.
Yes, that's me. I never really liked that name but ended up stuck with it on the Civ gaming sites. I do have plenty of Civ 4 and 5 stuff on my site: http://dos486.com/civ4/ http://dos486.com/civ5/
Yeah, but none of those are going to give you a billion in one shot without you knowing what you did, they all require a lot of deliberate setup.
About the only big score you can get by just whacking around is the multiball super jackpot, which is 300M, although you'd know if you did it during...
Except when we don't agree with each other and then you get caught in the middle. :)
Dizzer is looking more legit to me, although Tarek doesn't seem to hold the same opinion yet.
The real machine has that. The specials. That's what good players are supposed be interested in. There's three separate tracks to earn specials: X awards (the top saucer) during multiball, the tube value, and the drop target bank. We ignore those in TPA, but there's plenty to do on the...
We discussed this before. The railroad coming out of the head isn't as reliable as you think. There are several possible railroads, one of which has the ball eventually rolling up the left inlane but not in an easily catchable manner. It's possible to shoot the right ramp again on the fly...
You don't have to complete all the timed continents to reach Atlantis. You have to complete 7, but it doesn't have to be all distinct 7, you can fail some and get the easy ones multiple times. Australia and Asia are the easiest by far, just two good shots each. Europe is fairly easy if...
There's nothing implausible about these all in one day. None of those tables take all that long to play. Gorgar, Harley, and Teed Off can reach those scores in an hour each. Centaur, Goin Nuts, and High Speed would be 2-4 hours each. None of these are like the 24-hour TZ or MM marathons...
The MOR champion value includes the instrument bonus for starting MOR. That's 5M * the number of instruments you've collected throughout the entire game, with no cap. I think I had it over 255 instruments myself. Eventually this exceeds the value you get during MOR itself.
I had 18 MOR in...
I'm not sure I believe my own 41B. I've never come close to that again either. :)
I was thinking the same thing, his gameplay on MB looked good but not 99B good. He wasn't carefully shooting, he was flailing during the multiballs and losing balls that a good player shouldn't. But then again...
Whether or not the nudging is legit, he IS skillful, at any rate. The Haunted House video in particular is better than I manage myself in keeping the ball on the lower playfield. He knows how to use TPA's railroads, he knows the table rules, and he knows how to use the nudging, in whatever...
