i agree with you , we need variety in tables which is good !!!!!! can"t wait !!!!!

:)
Aahhhh, he said Zen, get him! I'm kidding of course. I enjoy both TPA and Zen games myself, but lately I've been playing a lot more TPA than Zen. With all of the new tables in TPA recently and the lull in new table releases from Zen, its been no contest.

A lot of people seem down on this next table pack but I find it very interesting. While its clearly not the strongest pack ever it is going to have a poll-winner and unique rarity. As primarily PS3 player I'm also remembering that we will be getting this pack right on the heels of a really strong pack with Champion Pub and Whirlwind. So those 4 tables we get with the next update (early Sept?) will still be pretty good overall.

I went to a Pinball show in Orlando, Florida this past November. I played Wheel of Fortune, Big Buck Hunter Pro, Avatar, Transformers, AC/DC, Xmen, and a bunch of other S.A.M. Stern games and really loved all of them. Most of them people would call trash, but I would call Gold. Of course that's just me, I guess that's what makes us all different.

lots of bitter tears in this thread... such drama

Seriously.. Goin Nuts is understandable to a degree because it is an.. odd table.

But SOOO many people are crying over Flight 2000. When a company runs a survey and people still moan when they get what they voted for, it's just asinine. If I was Farsight, I'd take that as a sign to just ignore the fans altogether. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Every forum I've ever been a part of was full of whiners. Some are worse than others however. It's something you learn to tune out after a while...

To be fair, it was practically a dead heat with Seawitch.

Someone needs a chill pill. It can be fun to read rants once in a while(we all have them), but there's no reason to continue to hammer down a bent nail with a sledgehammer :)confused: by my own wording there).

Edit: And here I thought I was at the end of the thread, just to find out I am reading page 3 after I posted. Sorry!

Nerizen: I would buy almost anything from Farsight but you really got me to doubt myself there. Talk about a major turkey pack that would be :D Brings me the shivers just to think about it

Edit: Still on page 3

I think if Seawitch had won by a few votes, then we would hear a lot of people complaining that Flight 2K wasn't coming and that the vote was rigged by multiple accounts, etc. This is coming from someone who would have preferred Seawitch (and others) over F2K. I'm excited for any early Stern (hopefully more to come) and I'll give Goin' Nuts a fair shot before I formulate an opinion.

I wanted Catacomb, neither Seawitch nor Flight 2k look like they have a rule set. :p

Let's just have a new poll, and put this month's table pack off entirely because there's some disagreement over whether or not FS actually disassembled a Going Nuts. /s

They loaned it from the Las Vegas Museum.

Ace High is awesome because it is the only table that I can think of where draining a ball in an outlane is a good thing. Of course, Farsight will mess it up, much like how they messed up Central Park by giving extra balls for specials.
That can be turned off in the options. Sadly, no separate leaderboards though.

I'm currently deciding on if I'm risking that the Season 2 pass PS4 upgrade will be cheap enough to go ahead and buy the PS3 pass or wait for PS4's release... 5 more months without White Water sounds like hell... So I'll end up with these tables, but I'm honestly not sure that I'd buy them otherwise. Maybe to support the cause, but with so many more interesting tables yet to be done this seems like an odd pairing. Both could be the "sleeper" table in a pack with a higher profile "lead" table that you ended up really liking, but paired seems like a recipe for poor sales (to non-Season Pass users). It also seems kinda odd so soon after Pin*Bot and Centaur (though that is a pack I have zero hesitation about) - two 80's pins too, but much lower profile.

I think Goin' Nuts looks cool. It's a widebody machine, it seems to have a lot of flipper action going on (which is a good thing), and the sound effects are decent. Also I think it could be easy for kids to play, so that's a plus. Looking forward to playing it, specially when it's such a rare machine.

As for Flight 2000, I saw a video and I liked it. It has a very clever multiball lock mechanism, the sound pack is very good, with voices and everything, and it just seems like a fun table.

I really don't get it with people skipping table packs and all that. Come on guys... it's just 5 dollars, what can you buy with that? A milkshake? And supposing you buy a milkshake, would you be getting more value from it than from any of the DLC packs released so far? I don't think so! :p.

You should be sorry and next time keep reading before passing judgement.

Im allowed to rant. Anyone is. Good rants are always a fun read, whether positive or negative (I hope mine are). It's my opinion, you don't need to agree and if it bothers you then stop reading. If you feel differently then post your own arguments for why Goin Nuts is awesome.

Not only would a positive rant on the table not bother me, I'd be freakin intrigued and excited to read it. It would blow me away if someone could actually articulate why its a good table. Cause I sure as hell ain't seein it.

As for Flight2k. The problem isn't because it beat sea witch, the problem is (and I'm using hyperbole) nobody cares or wants classic Sterns. The majority of people didnt bother with the poll at all, and if they did, they just voted on one that looked cool (like me). I'd be just as pissed if it was Sea Witch and Goin Nuts... Err actually, slightly less pissed, simce it's what I voted for. But it would still be a weak pack anyway. If you're going to pair something as crappy as goin nuts then you need to pair it with something amazing. Likewise if you are digitizing an early 80s or older table, you have to pair it up with something decent.

Farsight needs to let the top two picks win next time. Had they just done both Flight2k and Sea Witch as one pack not only would both sides be happy, but those of us who don't care about classic stern would give it a try since it's two of Sterns finest.

I'm pretty pissed off to see 8-Ball Deluxe on the Bally poll... Like, that should be a given, and of course I wanted 8-Ball but I just wanted Centaur a touch more hence why I voted for it. And these polls always boil down to two tables... So just do them both, Farsight.

Too late though and it's all moot so who cares lol.

+1. Farsight should definitely do the top 2 tables from the polls if it's feasible.

True, true. But I also don't see TPA as a 59.99$ game that you buy once and that's it, but rather, as a bunch of DLC which I expect to be buying for a long time.

Maybe I'll have spent 200$ on TPA packs in the end (50 dollars a year?), but the amount of fun and value I would have gotten from that purchase would be more than worth it, at least in my opinion.
